Ginger is poolside and I was helping Mom in the Garage. Ginger doesn't like to be separated but unfortunately, she doesn't fit through the old doggie door. She did keep a constant eye on us the whole time though! Shockingly, not too long after this, we ran an errand just down to Lowes and were gone like 30 minutes. We'd left the girls in the backyard (because they were both wet) and when we returned Ginger greeted us IN the garage!?! She'd somehow pushed herself through the door and her poor little belly was rubbed raw! She'd also bit around the side of the cutout (no doubt trying to make it bigger). Next time Wayne came through town we planned to put in a slightly bigger doggie door to cover up the gnarled parts and make it so she fits through!

Teddy Bear Toss!

Sherry and Matt have season tickets (or at least home game tickets) to the Condor hockey games but this time they couldn't go so they gave the tickets to Mom and I. The weekend after Thanksgiving marks the Condor's annual Teddy Bear Toss night that collects stuffed animals for charity and Christmas gifts! Everyone is to bring at least one stuffed animal to throw onto the ice after the Condors score their first goal of the night. It's crazy, you will be pelted with animals from behind and above you! We had the goal netting in front of us so we actually had to throw our bears over to the people on the left who could then toss it over the glass.

I Was Invited to Paul's Annual Friendsgiving!?!
Paul and a bunch of his friends have family either out of town and or out of state making Thanksgiving with family difficult. Instead they all get together every year for something they call "Friendsgiving". They do it pot-luck style but it is otherwise a standard Thanksgiving with all the fixings! It's a really cool tradition and everyone was very welcoming to me!

Soooooo sad...
Jackson Daniel Gordon (11/13/01—11/2/11)
Today Paul's dog Jack died. It was an extremely rough day for him but it admittedly hit a little too close to home for me too! I can't (and don't want to) imagine loosing one of my girls. :-(Saturday, November 5, 2011
UCLA Football Date!
My boss at work, Laurie Ceccarelli has box-seat season tickets to the UCLA games because her son used to attend UCLA and was on the cheerleading squad. On this particular day, Laurie couldn't make the game and knowing I was dating someone (which she was excited about) she offered the tickets to me. Now honestly I don't follow football of any sort but I don't mind watching games live (besides they always seem to have the best hot dogs and peanuts there! I was grateful that she'd offer them to me so I quickly called Paul to make sure he could go that day...he could so I accepted them! It actually turned out to be a pretty exciting game coming down to a one point lead with 49 seconds left in the game (read stats below)!!!
UCLA 29, Arizona State 28 (final)

Coleman's dive capped a perilous 79-yard drive featuring a fumble by Coleman, an offensive pass-interference penalty and a third-and-29 conversion by the Bruins (5-4, 4-2 Pac-12), who improbably moved into first place in the Pac-12 South by winning consecutive games for the first time since early last season.
